EASY PRETTY ENVELOPE (7)

Hey crafting folks! Welcome back to craftix!! I know that you must have tried making an envelope at least once. I’m gonna break it down for you in this tutorial. It is a very easy method and you can prepare an envelope in just a few minutes. Let’s start!!

Card stock/paper needed: It depends on the size of the envelope that you want  to make. I’ll be using an A4 size sheet for this one.

Holding the sheet horizontally, fold the sheet leaving some space for the flap like so…..

Burnish well!!!

Score on the folded sheet on the left & the right side leaving about ¾” of space on both sides.

Parts to cut off are as follows:

Now that the upper tabs have been chopped off, make some lines as shown below:

Cut them off so that your paper looks like this:

Fold  your side tabs  so that your envelope looks like this:

Honestly, you can make any embellishment. Nut for this one, you’ll need 2 cut outs of flowers
Lift the petals of the flowers

Place them one top of the other as shown below
Make the flower prettier by adding a stud to it

Just add this flower to your envelope where ever you like

Have a look at my collection of envelopes below: (the one with the balloons is the show stopper)

COLORFUL LEAFLET BANNER (6)

Welcome back folks!!!! This time our project is going to be a really pretty and fun to make banner. It is an easy project! So collect all your paper…..and let’s start!!!

First of all, decide what you wanna write on yourbanner. For eg. I am gonna write the name of my blog i.e. CRAFTIX. So that’s 7 letters, so I will have to make 7 leaflets…
To make a leaflet, you will need 2 rectangles. First one will be in white measuring:
1 ½” X 3”
The second rectangle should be coloured. Measuring:
2” X 3 ½”

Cut your white rectangles from the bottom as shown below….

Now layer the white pieces on the colored ones…..

Done??...Now punch two holes on the top left and right corners of your leaflets with the help of a hole punch.

Now take a long length of a yarn. You can also take wool.

Now weave the thread through all your leaflets…

And there you should have your banner ready. I am sure that it has turned out beautifully!!!

Fun thread book mark (5)

Helooooooo!!!! Welcome back to craftix! So this project is for all the bookworms out there. And ya….you guessed it right, it’s a bookmark. And trust me, you’ll make this book mark in about 3-4 mins.

First of all, you’ll need some fun shapes to make the book mark with. I used a snowflake punch for my book mark. You may use something else….a flower possibly. You can even draw shapes out, cut them and use them!

Punch a hole in each of your shapes with the help of a whole punch.

Take some thread and tie one piece of thread to each shape through the hole.
Now tie the other ends of these threads to a paper clip.

Just take a small rectangular piece of paper. I have embellished my paper with some washi tape.

Attach your paperclip to the rectangular paper. And there’s your book mark ready. You can even leave the rectangular paper and just use the paper clip as a book mark. If you like this project then please leave a comment below.

Thanks for stopping by. If you have any queries, feel free to leave a comment. I will try my best to solve it for you.

NOTECARDS BOX

BOX FOR CARD STORAGE (4)

Hey crafters!!!! Welcome back to craftix!! So, I designed this box specifically for some cards (in my previous post). But you can obviously use this box for other purposes as well. Again, you can use either paper or card stock. But, I would prefer card stock for this particular project for sturdiness and stability.

Card stock needed:  12 ¼” X 8 ½”

Score at:
On the long side (12 ¼” side): 1 ¼”, 5 ½”, 6 ¾”, 11”
On the short side (8 ½” side): 1 ¼”, 7 ¼”

Burnish well!

You have to notch like so….

You will also need to prepare a covering piece for decoration. Here is the measurement for the same! You can also decorate the piece as you wish!

3 5/8” X 5 ½”

Turn over the card stock so that the front side is facing you. Now you must be having 2 big rectangles. Stick your decorative piece on the second one from the left.

Here's where you put your glue/adhesive.....

Turn your card stock over again. Now we have 6 square tabs, 2 right hand side ones, 2 left hand side ones and 2 middle ones. We also have 4 rectangles on the top and bottom, 2 right hand side rectangles and 2 left hand side rectangles. Stick your right hand side and middle sq. tabs on right side rectangles. Getting confused?? Look at the picture below!

Do the same thing on the bottom as well.

Close your box….and there it is…ready!!!!
